hello! it’s me. i’ve been wondering if after all these years…ok, enough of that. yep, i’ve been gone so long adele has even released new material. we’ve done a fair bit of travelling during my 18-month absence & i recently had a couple of rolls of 120 film developed. one contained a major fail of a holga experiment, luckily the other captured a rather successful photo diary documenting 2-weeks in italy. you can read more about it on my blog, accooohtrements, but here are my favourite snaps.

disposable diaries #3
the final few shots from the first disposable camera i’ve used in a good 10 years or so. i love the highly saturated yet somehow still faded colours i’ve got from this film so expired boots’ single-use cameras may become a bit of a habit. just a few photos from a springtime wander around shoreditch.
disposable diaries #1
i’m alive! in my unintentional down-time i moved in with my guy, went on holiday, & ended up starting another blog that is slightly cheaper to run & so gets updated more often – check it out! while packing up his old house for the move, we came across 2 disposable cameras; if i remember rightly the film expired in 2012. of course i had to use them. i just got 1 developed so i thought i’d share some shots of my new ‘hood. what do you think? so, what’ve you been up to?
vernazza
we arrived in vernazza sweaty & tired after our hike; we could barely wait to get to the beach for some sunbathing & sea-frolicking. the water was cooler than expected so after a refreshing splash i located a huge, warm rock to serve as my deck chair while i continued ‘the beautiful & the damned‘. later, we enjoyed a harbour-side seafood dinner, accompanied by yet more wine, of course.
until next time, ciao italia, baci!
manarola
in my opinion manarola is the prettiest of all the five villages that comprise the cinque terre. we spent the night here, gorging on seafood & gelato, before taking a short train journey straight through the mountains to corniglia (where we filled-up on yet more gnocchi & i bought the sweetest lemon-scented soaps, currently residing in my lingerie drawer). then we hiked the 4km/2.5 miles to vernazza, which is next up!
